Left Singapore about 10 years.... Stopped watching mediacorp chinese drama about 13 years ago and after coming back to SG n watch the dramas filmed by MediaCorp, it's really dramatic!!!

Artist like Zoe Tay, Chen LiPing, Zheng GePing, all this so-called "lao jiao / old birds" acting skills is getting from bad to worst... Really ACTING!!! And those new-comers is nowhere near to be a actor, and i think i can have a better acting skills than the current bunch of so-called Singapore artist....

My very last time I remember I watch a Channel 8 full episode from beginning till the end maybe is during the SBC (Singapore Broadcasting Corporation) period, since they turn themselves into TCS in 1994, I served my NS and no time for dramas already...

U are kidding. We all know there are no real 'actors' in Mediacorpse. There are a couple of decent ones like Xie Shaoguang who has left. The others like Zoe Tay? Acting range is so limited. See her in period dramas and u will laugh!

Xie Shaoguang also a bit exaggerating in his acting. And the most interesting part, "Ah Sum Zoe Tay" coming to her 50s already and still given roles of young ladies.... Come on look at TVB 陈法拉，胡杏儿，徐子珊， 钟嘉欣，郭可盈，宣萱，蔡少芬，陈慧珊

Yes the storyline, the props, casting, the directing plus even acting skills of the supporting and kalefares matter.
But to be fair they have improved by quite a bit.

People that are not in the showbiz industry or music industry doesn't mean they cannot act better than an artist or sing better than a singer...

I encounter ppl from HK or China before that they can sing better than a singer and his vocal is damn solid but he's a investor. Ask yourself can MediaCorpse produce a film like Yip Man? Who can fight like Donnie Yen in MediaCorpse? Don't tell me that clown Zeng Geping or Chen Tianwen, pleaseeee....

Why must there be a standard to meet? Nobody forces you to watch them, just watch something else or get a hobby to waste your time with.

Good reply, but as a local who has left yr own country for a period of time n when i turned on my TV set n while scrolling down the channels, definitely i'll come across channel 8 and pause to see what kind of dramas or shows they are airing at the moment...

And thank bullshit jesus, after souring my eyes on channel 8 for about 10 mins, i scroll my channels down to NatGeo Wildlife.... Even the animals act better than those Zoe'sss and Fann'sss
