ON DEC 19, at 7.40pm, I ordered pizza from Pizza Hut's call centre and made payment by Mastercard. I was told it would take 40-50 minutes to deliver my order.
After waiting for over an hour, I called to check and was told the deliveryman was on the way. About half an hour later, I called again and was told the restaurant manager would call me. I subsequently received a call to say the deliveryman had been delayed by a flat tyre and that another deliveryman was going to pick up my order and deliver it.
After waiting for two hours and 20 minutes, I finally called to cancel my order. If the second deliveryman had arrived with my pizza, it would have been a two-hour wait and my pizza would have turned lukewarm and soggy.
Although the order was cancelled, I had to wait two weeks for the credit card charges to be cancelled. I said I wanted to speak to the duty manager and was told he would call me.
Till today, nobody from Pizza Hut has called me, even though I have sent the restaurant my feedback.

I suppose it's easier for the writer to just walk to the nearest Pizza Hut outlet and purchase the pizzas.

Accident do happen and it's up to you if you want to believe the story. But I must say that the refund is already very prompt. What are you expecting??? Next day refund??? A company will not sit down and handle refunds every day. Most batch them and send to the bank, maybe weekly, fortnightly or even monthly. And the bank needs time to process the request too. The only thing that Pizza Hut did not do right is not responding to you.

If Pizza Hut can't live up to the service standards it has promised, then shut the home delivery service for good.

Please learn to live life and accept things as they come. Dont enter into blame game. After all Pizza delivery man is risking his life daily; criss crossing in rain and sunshine and traffic jams. Till night his wife has to keer her fingers crossed to know that he hs alive. For you it is sitting in the apartment, with air-con on, TV on, munching the pizza to satiate your appetite.
