There are high strength plastic steel that can mend those cracked tracks. No need to replce unless its bent.

6 of them are using eye power. The 7th is just admiring how ugly the plank is.

2-3 years ago, SMRT had local contractor build a type of small platform vehicle to repair and change tracks quickly.

3 times faster.

That's about the right number for safety reasons.
4 is to lookout for NESW
1 to work
1 to ensure the work one is doing correctly.
1 is to observe around the area for special findings .

You see can see for yourself the positions of all of them, just that during the time when photo was taken, the working one spotted something, hence you can see the NESW post turned turn body to look.

One is playing his handphone, one is taking photo of them, so total 8 persons instead of 7 persons.

Instead of 1 day work, it becomes few days work

Comfort Delgro, SBS and SMRT uses local proxy to procure many parts, despite having purchasing teams.

For many years, the purchasing team will get world tour to meet parts suppliers.

However, they try not to buy directly on their own because they claim that they have too many suppliers, so there is less paperwork if they consolidate under these proxies (and keep lobangs).
