Anyone here can recommend the best Peking roast duck in Singapore?

I have tried TL's Lao Beijing and Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, both not quite up to mark in my opinion.

Price is not an issue. I need a good duck that's all.

No gay talk please.

Peking duck is grossly overhyped, overrated and overpriced. Skin and bun, yawn.

Give me Teochew braised duck or Cantonese roast duck anytime.

Call me a purist, I only eat the skin with a dip of the sauce sans bun/flour skin/garnishes.

The immediacy of the richly-roasted skin melting in your mouth makes the dish so delectable.

Nothing beats that.

Thanks guys for the recommendations so far.

The one at Jumbo, got someone slicing the skin on the spot for you?

Assume this is a given where ever they serve this dish.......how else they expect the diners to slice themselves?
Also dun scare being label a cheapskate and insist on them using the remaining duck meat to cook some other dishes for you. Food waste not.

Jumbo being a seafood place, I'd assume otherwise, you know, the person slicing at the side of your table, though I know the Indoor branch was less crowded.

Yep I'd tapao the duck for home-cooked sour vege duck. Another yum yum. :)

You can try bring Tracy there first before embarking on something more ambitious like bringing her to Beijing for the real thing. :D

The restaurant on the 2nd floor of Hotel Royal( just opposite IRS, newton rd). It's a steamboat buffet joint but they sell "Peking duck" too...sliced n wrapped with thin "prata"! Hahaha...anyway, they roll it out "FOC" during your steamboat dinner! 2pcs per customer...

Yah lah, your competition is tough to handle. All expenses paid trip to Beijing, hard to match. :(

Anyway, Beijing (Peking) duck originates from Beijing. If you don't like the Beijing version, what else is there to like about it?
