<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->SINCE prices of public transport services have been reviewed, I hope the operators will provide more comfortable rides.
Of 10 trips I have made on buses and trains, at least four of these buses and trains had faulty air conditioning and poor ventilation. This is especially unbearable on a hot day or during peak hours.
Is it too much to ask the bus captain to put up a sign to tell boarding passengers the air conditioning is down? Commuters will then have a choice of taking another bus, or at least they will know what they are paying for.
I hear transport companies are fined in the event of a service breakdown. But are these fines translated into monetary rebates for commuters?
If commuters have to accept fare hikes, it is only fair that they get equivalent quality in comfort and services.
