Kudos to our local swimmer. How come not much of news in the local paper even though she was in the final? Is it becoz S'poreans don't really care much about the efforts and achievements of our physically-challenged citizens?

SINGAPORE: Singapore’s Paralympian swimmer, Theresa Goh, has come in sixth in the 100—metre freestyle event in Beijing.

While a medal still eludes her, she clocked a new personal best time of 1:32:92.

Theresa has three more events at the Beijing Paralympic Games, which ends on September 17.

They are the 50—metre and 200—metre freestyle as well as the 100—metre breaststroke. — CNA/ir
