The PAP has always been bending over backwards to appease and placate the whims of the Malay-Muslim community, under the euphemism of 'religious/racial harmony'.

The PAP knows that the continuation of its own political hegemony lies in co-opting (euphemism: engaging) the Malay-Muslim community. The day when Malays become the majority ethnicity in Singapore is the day the PAP loses power. Simple as that.

There's nothing good or bad about it: it's just the PAP doing the politically expedient and ensuring its own survival.

If FAP is serious in championing fair multi racial system in this country they should stop such wayang show and instead make more Malay important posts in the cabinet like Deputy PM or President or the Foreign Minister and not only cater these posts only to the Indian, which is no diff from Matland's quota system.

Yes. It is necessary that there are one or two high level Malay ministers and you should be able to get the bulk of their votes. It is quite simple really.

It can be observed that entry level jobs are being filled by foreigners at the expense of local Chinese, Malays & Indians with lower qualifications.
However these people (such as Malays..) may still support PAP due to lack of general awareness...plus media tactics stressing fear of lower growth, etc.

Agree. Same goes for the ethnic Chinese. Zorro Lim is the Chinese Affiar Ministar for that matter.
