That why , I always tell other why bother about 99 lease. The HDB won't even last 60 year.

They sell you a 99-year lease flat that can last for 60 years. To stay on, you fork out big bucks to repair it to last for another 30 years or sell it back to them at a steep discount.
The PAP has it covered ...it will make money off you in so many ways.

Why your HDB flat so expensive? my time 3-rm in Hoy Fatt Road/Red Hill only $6,000/-, 5-rm in bukit merah central blk 115 only $35,500/- - PM's salary $120k/anl, MP's salary $60k/an and they are really serving people, but now they serve money for $2mil (hey! don't ever talk to me you are serving me I will fook you! I also told my son and his friends to marginalize all PAPies' offspring because their father are drawing shameless salary and is paid by the poor Singaporeans)

There was 1 incident I snap a bowl of noodle from the MP's daughter and chased her out of my house, I felt very satisfy and happy, like I dio 4-D first prize. the thing is these hdb flats are meant to be low cost housing solutions meant to solve the public housing needs back in the 60s,70s and 80s......they were never meant to be turned into a casino for speculation and increasing asset prices.....instead these HDB flats purpose and reason has been twisted and manipulated to become objects of wealth and status symbols......giving the illusion that singapore is a country of amazing wealth and prosperity by forcing current and subsequent generations into huge debts to fulfill their housing needs.

my parents paid 70k for their hdb flat in the 80s.....i see no fucking reason why these flats have to cost over 100k per unit........these are ghetto slum housing projects,ugly unaesthetic blocks of concrete .....iv seen way more beautiful houses in australia that cost only 150k.

The common man is a wasteful and indulgent bunch. If we did not make flats more expensive, they would simply waste it away on whores and luxury items. We can't have that! A costly flat teaches young couples the importance of thrift! It is all for their own good!
