The guy is Ahmad Magad (or is it mudguard) ? Good that he sang, as he reminds the PAP how 30 years have gone by and we're still singing the productivity song, and repeating all over again.
The PAP swamped Sinkieland with FTs to support business sector during the GFC and led to lower productivity. When the people cried foul over the deteriorated job and living climate, to protect its poll chances, the PAP pulled the plug, increasing the levy, causing the business lobby's turn to scream foul, whenceforth the govt blames the Singaporean worker for low productivity.
What shld happen is for the PAP to ask themselves and kick their own PAP butts why over these years, nothing has changed in the way businesses are run and why no higher value added jobs are created. This was already debated yrs ago. The PAP boasts always they are indispensable to Singapore because only they can create and have created jobs, and that only the Opp is going to give away everything free and create a bankrupt govt. Well, now who's giving away our hard earned savings in losses in wild financial gambles on the stock markets and who's been sleeping on the job? Where are the higher pay jobs? Werent we supposed to be on top of everybody else?
and one fucker still can sing song in parliament (who is the MP who did that?). The nerve to insult the mandate is unbarable to watch. I will not watch the news any more.
By the way, Ahmad Magad was one of the board members on Spring Singapore - the stat board tasked with chaperoning the national Productvity drive in the past. Lim Boon Heng was the Chairman. Later succeeded by Cedric foo, a failed junior Minister. Now Philip yeo. All jiak liao bee.
