All the new 'moves' by the PAP...HDB speeding building program, Fair Consideration.....they are all to correct the policy errors of past PAP policies. Thank God for WP for slapping the driver to make them turn in the right directions. Imagine if PAP not made these policy shifts...where would prop prices be now, what hope for local PMETs in the emplyment market....etc.
Don't be fooled by PAP trying to claim credit for these policy shifts......they are in essence trying to correct the error of their ways.

the long standing flaws are yet to be scrap:

1. demolish NSF - outdated and useless.

2. CPF - no 2 rules one for foreigner and one for born citizen.

3. 10 year rule revoke your IC if you did not return to Singapore more than 10 years. This policy was set up to deny opposition members entry into Singapore like Tan Wah Piow.

4. All HDB mortgage loan to treat the same as private mortgage loan allow for refinancing.

5. revert GE system back to SMC.

6 ..... more kong buay leow....

For sure the dismal performance for the last 3 erections play a role . The transport crunch n the high cost of living is still pending improvement

I'm sure they will make a big deal of the correcting the problem as if they are solving a problem, forgetting they are the caused of it.

if they dun create problem for themselves to solve, how can they stay in power?

Anyone who openly admits that he or she was the cause of the problems affecting society today would always be respected and cherished.

Such admission would be commendable and go a long way in increasing the popularity of that person concerned.

But sadly, this is not the case today. No leader in Singapore has ever admitted to past mistakes.

Maybe they feel that they (as leaders of the people) are above everyone and infallible. Exempted from blame, whatsoever....

Look around us and see the mess that has been created - high intake of foreigners, "public housing" at exhorbitant prices, dismal transport system, massive jams on roads even during "non-peak" periods (and still embracing the COE system), high crime rate committed by foreigners, foreigners having scant respect for locals, corruption involving top civil servants, faulty international relations, etc... The list goes on.

Will anyone, any leader please own up. Tell the truth and shame the Devil in you............

It's amazing what the loss of a GRC (and a couple of by-elections) can do for a country's policy. ;)

Let's see if losing 51% of the support will improve things in Spore :)

I wonder what will it take for the ministers salaries to come down to saner levels....like what Obama is getting. Maybe need to change the gov for that to happen!!
