That's because they forgot their own identity is that of PAP and PAP supporters.
Voters are not expecting PAP to find any explanation from an opposition party satisfactory. Voters expect PAP to be objective and altruistic when governing the country but not when dealing with the opposition. Voters know that even the most angelic and capable governments in the world are not friendly only to the opposition because that is politics.
They themselves will decide whether to vote PAP or WP based on their own set of criteria, not based on what PAP or WP says. So PAP should stop treating them like children.
As what Mr Seah puts it: "Everything in the flyer is directed at WP, it is quite obvious that it is from the PAP."

The report quoted Sengkang resident Ms Ong K C as saying, “The comments made in the letter are subjective, and they cannot represent the voice of the masses.” SINGAPORE – Even before the date for the next General Election (GE 2011) has been announced, a poison pen letter has surfaced in Sengkang. Written on a piece of A4-size paper in both English and Mandarin, it has been stuffed into the letter boxes of residents there, apparently since last week. In it, the anonymous author accuses the People’s Action Party (PAP) of being responsible for the high cost of living and the 7-per-cent GST, among other complaints. The police said that a report has been made, and investigations are in progress. MediaCorp understands that this case falls under the Sedition Act, where the offender could be fined up to $5,000 and/or given a maximum jail term of three years. She was the person who alerted TODAY about the “poison pen letter”. She told reporters that distributing flyers “is not an appropriate way to air one’s dissatisfaction”. At the time, Charles Chong was the MP for the area and he told the media, “Residents can read it and decide for themselves if the comments are credible.” PAP HQ executive director Lau Ping Sum added that PAP were aware of the matter and that Ms Ong was not the only person to have “informed them about the letter”. It is not known why the police classified distributing anti-PAP flyers as “seditious”. Victor Lye should continue doing what he's started. He is so out of touch, together with his senior colleagues in the cabinet etc.
They still don't get the motivation that drives voters to the opposition.
Juvenile behaviour and the unfair handling of such issues by the police will drive more to the oppo camps.

They don't care whether you read them or not. What they wanted to do was create media scrutiny that the problems in Aljunied were so great that there was a groundswell of non-partisan discontent from the residents, who took it upon themselves to print and distribute the flyers.
Getting media attention for such a fix job is easy peasy with the pro-PAP presstitutes.

As we all know, flyers dun grow from trees, so since our dear friend zeroo have been kind enough to highlight the flyers, maybe he can find out where did the funds for flyers come from. I sincerely hope no public funds were used, because if whoever printed those flyers took a single cent from MND or PA in the past 5 years, to come up with such rubbish, we should call in CPIB to do an investigation for misuse of public funds.

Channel News Asia (CNA) reported on 16 Dec that PAP activists in opposition wards are gearing up for the coming general election.
In the article, CNA said that 52-year-old Victor Lye was chosen to lead PAP activists at Bedok Reservoir-Punggol ward in WP-controlled Aljunied GRC. Mr Lye has apparently been working the ground there for the past 5 years.
Trying to defend the loss of Aljunied GRC to the opposition, Mr Lye said, “You must remember Aljunied was not just the result for Aljunied – it was a result for the entire PAP and it was a national outcome.”
“Otherwise how do you explain very good, committed politicians and ministers not getting enough votes? So we must remember what Aljunied means – communication. I was really crying out for what Aljunied was expressing,” he added.
He said that communication is key to winning back the Aljunied residents’ trust.
“The electorate is changing. We call it the ‘teenager effect’. You can’t speak to our children the same way we spoke to them when they were three or seven. When they are 12 or 14, the same message has to be delivered differently.”
Mr Lye is the Chief Executive of Shenton Insurance Pte Ltd
