Each cohort is about 40 000 children. It's declining every year. PM LEE stated that PCF caters for 40 000 places NOW. So where is the POP? The majority of disadvantaged and underperforming Primary One and Two students are mainly the children from PAP Community Foundation kindergarten and child care centres. There can be no denying that these PCF-LEEducated children are weak in basic literacy and numeracy. Why is this so? What does this imply regarding the quality of the teachers and curriculum in PCF centres? Who does the appraisal of these centres? Do the evaluating OFFICERS have the domain knowledge and professional qualifications to even differentiate between what is on paper and what is reality? Certifications for PCF and NTUC managed centres are just a guise to mislead and delude unsuspecting and less well-informed/educated parents of the shortcoming at these PCF/NTUC centres. In present day Singapore, many parents are also sending their PCF-enrolled children for addition literacy, numeracy and creative enrichment classes on weekends. WHY is there this need if the self-acclaimed PAP is already providing the right, high-quality preschool education in the country? Self-proclaimed excellence is usually untrue and lacking.

Having interacted with some of the high SES Indians, there is no denying that their genes are of quality. The same could be said of the transplants from the other countries. However, unless these transplants set up roots on our ground, there is no benefit to the land or our indigenous species.

Their presence in this country did help to surface out the inadequacies in our rigid education system, and this is one reason for their reluctance to take root. It has also clearly shown that our existing education system does not cater to ALL Singaporeans. The 'YOU accept and follow what the PAP provides' has indeed suffocated and stunted the development of some of our more able children.

Should Singaporeans continue to be led by a party of egoistic and blind LEEders? Must our children and grandchildren be left behind in a increasingly populated well, and be MADE ignorant of the outside everchanging and improving world?
