It's a sin for the govt and its agencies to con them after their sacrificial contrinution to SG.
My brother just completed his NSF. while in the SAF, he was "coerced" and "arm-twisted" to donate monthly to the Community Chest through GIRO. His supervisors had harassed him into signing up for GIRO contribution. It easy for him to opt in....just sign the SHARE form which was given to him
But now that he is out, they are still deducting his bank account based on his GIRO contribution form. If he wants to stop, he has to go the bank to sign a termination form. It is so inconvenient.
I suspect many NSmen didnt realise that their forced monthly contributions during their NSF days is still being deducted from their bank accounts.
The PAP and Community Chest have stooped real low to con NSFs and NSmen.
I am sad that SG has descended to this level
