The following article is from Temasek Review.

From the Jack Neo incident, it should be no surprise that the PAP is very tolerant of such sexual advances. Men of power and influence in Singapore can rest assured that they will not be prosecuted or harmed in any way. Even AWARE, the supposed spokesperson for women, is inclined to look the other way when powerul and influential men act in this way.

Singapore’s preparations for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) have got off to an “exciting” start during a dinner function last week attended by some 60 overseas delegates.

According to a Lianhe Wanbao report, at least three Singapore female volunteers had lodged complaints of being sexually harrassed by the delegates.

One of them, a 21 year old student described her experience to the media:

“A 60 year old delegate from a Middle East country grabbed me suddenly and asked me if I want to go to his hotel. Another asked me directly where he can find young women to bed,” she said.

Even a Shin Min reporter was not spared. She accused a delegate of using his leg to stroke hers.

With 150 days to go to the event, Minister of Community, Youth and Sports Dr Vivian Balakrishnan had expressed concerns that the “YOG fever” had yet to sweep across Singapore.

He called on Singaporeans last week “rally” behind the YOG in order to make it a success.

Dr Vivian stressed that the “goal” is now to recreate the buzz:

“We’ve got to find ways for the hawkers, for the taxi drivers, the bus drivers, the small and medium enterprises to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to showcase their products and their services to the world,” he added.

With the overseas YOG delegates already adding the “buzz” before the event, Dr Vivian should be able to heave a sigh of relief.

yes, these IOC members should stick to socha.
the russian can give them these things.

they think they con PAP, they can con the people too.

we should give YOG the finger.

Last time, Foyce was portrayed as an attention whore by the msm. Due to PBM Jack Neo’s links with Minister Yeo, the incident was quickly white washed and PBM Jack Neo was even protrayed as the victim. The msm failed to dig deeper into the truth of the original Shin Min article which stated that Jack Neo had sexually groomed as many as 11 women.

For this case, the msm will definitely be instructed to “move on” and “blackout” all instances of misbehvaiour. This is even though one of their own reporters were “stoked”. This is because of “national interests”. Based on Wikipedia, Singapore has invested more than US$500 mil in the YOG and the PAP will not allow the YOG to fail just because a few young women were sexually harassed.

Host of the 117th IOC Session, Singapore made its first formal bid to host a multi-disciplinary sporting event of this magnitude. Positive factors in its bid included its high connectivity with the world, its youthfulness as an independent country, and its positive reputation for excellence and multi-racial harmony. The city-state rolled out a high-publicity campaign which included being amongst the first to launch its official website, bid logo (despite IOC rules against bid logos) and a bid tagline “Blazing the Trail” on 16 October 2007[2] and getting the local population to support its bid, including an effort by students to collect 1 million signatures in support of the games.[3] The Logo-Making Competition for the Games attracted 1,500 participants and the winning design was unveiled on 10 January 2010. Entitled ‘Spirit Of Youth’, the official logo, according to the organizers, showcases passion for sports and the values of Olympism.

Singapore originally planned to use the National University of Singapore’s University Town for a high tech Youth Olympic Village. However the rapid increase in construction costs in 2008 resulted in the shifting of the Youth Olympic Village to Nanyang Technological University in Jurong West.[4] Jurong West Sports and Recreation Centre will also feature prominently in the games.

There were concerns that the plan contained two new venues – the Olympic Village and equestrian complex. With concerns over delivering in time for the games, a construction expert reported the $423 million Olympic Village plan at the University was feasible. (There is a backup plan as well.) Similarly, the expert believed the equestrian venue could be delivered on time.[5]

The budget is $75.5 million and has strong government support. The plan is also attractive because of its compactness in the Singapore city-state.[5]

The report below is from the New Paper.

I think what is really sad is that under the PAP, we have sent out the message that it is OK for powerful and influential old men to sexually harass and sexually groom young girls. Because of their place in society, the PAP will protect and shelter you.

Firstly you have the Romanian diplomat (I-wanna-screw) who was basically on a drunken sex romp when he ran over 2 people with his embassy car.

Then we got Jack Neo with his modified MPV (tinted windows and curtains). He got off and msm helped paint Foyce as a attention whore. Wendy Chong also got portrayed as cunning, immoral woman.

Now we have the IOC delegate(s) who will also most likely be let off since they have spent more than US$500 mil on the YOG. The PAP would therefore not want to “spoil” the YOG just over a “small thing” like sexual harassment.

For the Shin Min journalist who was "stroked", I wonder what the feeling would be like given that now she is now a victim which her own newspaper will silence for “national interests”.

'Where can I find pretty girls to make out with?'
YOG volunteers claim they were propositioned by delegates from other countries
By Ho Lian-Yi

They leered. They groped. They propositioned.

Hardly the kind of behaviour you would expect of Chefs de Mission (CdMs), the very people in charge of leading and caring for the welfare of their country's sports delegations to major events.

The foreign CdMs cited by three girls were among 200 National Olympic Committee representatives for the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in August.

They were here for a four-day Chefs de Mission Seminar and the incidents occurred at formal dinners last week.

At least three Singapore volunteers were invited by CdMs to their hotel rooms.

The girls, who spoke to The New Paper on Sunday, were among 60 Culture and Education Programme (CEP) Champions who attended the functions.

The Champions, aged 18 to 25, were picked as volunteers by the Singapore Youth Olympic G'ames Organising Committee (SYOGOC).

The Champions told The New Paper that the CdMs invited them to their hotel rooms and asked inappropriate questions.

Sinkapore tourist theme----

"YOUR SINKAPORE"

They are veri concerned with "PANDERING"

so you all see, where got hope to bring justice!

Leer (look until cannot tahan), grope(fondle for sex pleasure) and proposition(suggest sex to someone) not an offence in sinkapore ?

Looks like Viviene has found a way to create a buzz hor his YOG. :D

The delegates should be informed that we have a NO PORN minister, and " NO SEX PLEASE, WE ARE sinGAPORE"..please behave!, this is YOUR sinGAPORE!!:D

Inauguration YOG in Singapore should have a sport category in sex of some kind. I am sure bros in this forum, or its sister forum, will have no problem with suggestions how to compete. It will surely draw a large following, judging from the interests shown by these delegates. and watched by the entire world irregardless of time of competition.

Then there won't be a problem getting volunteers working FOC if their get to try out the sport in between touraments as part of their benefits

There is an interesting "tripartite" connection regarding this latest report about YOG delegates.

Firstly the young ladies who are supposed to be volunteers lending assistance to the delegates. While we hear so much about the majority of young ladies who reject the advances of these delegates, one wonders whether there are a few cases of acceptance, if enough incentive is offered. Given the value system of young people these days, you never know.

Secondly, the delegates. My goodness, have they just come out from their harems or their caves? Surely they must have done some reseach on the state of current day society, including Singapore society. Even if they are horny and attracted to the sweet young things that linger around them, surely they must have enough brains in their big heads to go and find such activities in a discreet manner and away from the "main events". Millions of men have wandered all over the world as similar delegates, statesmen, diplomats, corporate leaders, corporate managers, even ordinary tourists. Surely when you make a business trip to your overseas subsidiary, do you go around the company's office asking the sweet young things whether they are available to come to your room? Do have some sense.

Thirdly, the organisers, from the junior management to the ministerial level. At the junior management level, they have made all the right noises, like saying that "such behaviour is highly inappropriate". One wonders however when the top level men will comment. Should they be highlighting who the indiscrete parties are and sending them home? Or will they come out making similar inoffensive comments like their subordinates and hoping the matter will blow over? I suspect it will be the latter, given their tendancy and record for being pragmatic. (some will say greedy) They simply cannot afford for their own sakes and to a certain extent for the country's sake, for the matter to come out in the open, to offend certain delegates and countries and risk the event being a failure, can they? Even if it's the right thing to do in the name of decency and fairness?

What should they compete in?

Games:
1. Who can shoot the furtherest?
2. Who can cum the most in an hr?
3. Who can make the woman cum most?
4. Who can erect the longest tool?
5. Who can milk the most cum?

:D

There is no such word as "irregardless". :)

The following is extracted from a 2007 paper published by the IOC who is the body in charge of the YOG. It seems to indicate that sexual harassment and abuse in sport is quite common and prevalent. So much so that the IOC had to commission a study, publish a paper and do a press release. As noted those responsible are mainly powerful and influential men.

Research indicates that sexual harassment and abuse happen in all sports and at all levels, with a greater prevalence in elite sport. Members of the athlete’s entourage who are in positions of power and authority appear to be the primary perpetrators.
