It is time to revamp our civil services. These folks have money and facilities but they don't produce results. Many WFH 2-3 days a week, enjoy fat bpaychecks and long annual leaves with work-life balance. Working in civil service is like a cheat code to good life.
Our country keeps increasing GST and taxes to pay bonuses and salaries to feed these fat cats while there's significant waste and redundancy.
While our trains continue to break down, i believe the folks in LTA continues to enjoy their fat bonuses and durian parties. Retired army personnels are parachuted into leadership positions that they have no value-added or prior experiences. They think they are untouchable; busy having affairs and antagonizing their subordinates. These Directors, DD, SAD and ADs should be subjected to more scrutiny and should have to present tangible results on a regular basis.
These hint that our civil services never face true meritocracy; everyone is a winner no matter how incompetent.
