This plate of food, $6.60. Koufu at Sengkang General Hospital. Got a shock. I asked the server: how come 6.60? Ya, he said. 2 meat and I veggie - each $2. Rice $0.60.

I looked at him and said: it's very expensive. I repeated it. He just looked at me.

Bought a small cup of tehsi kosong. $1.80.

Total: $8.40 for that meal.

If you haven't noticed already, they're blurring the lines between a hospital and a mall. This is happening islandwide.

Great for rent-seekers, punters in REITS and GLC healthcare groups.

It is a rip off ...okay, the meat charged $2, okay. Veg and that piece of whatever it is should not be $2 each.

very smart to include a bit of minced meat in the long beans and then jack up the pricing.

message is loud n clear - no moni, dun eat! ...

My peasant residents say that if you sprinkle some minced meat on veggies, the veggie dish can now be sold as meat dish. Same for sprinkling garlic or veggies on an originally pure meat dish and serving customers meat with veggies instead of purely meat.

As RC member, why you no do anything?

any meal in air-conned environment under $6.69 is bearable with sinkies. $1.80 for tehsi kosong is a bit too much. should not be more than $1.69.

how i long for the olden golden days when the meal cost $1.69 and the tehsi kosong $0.69...but no aircon...only spitoons.

Koufu is both fucked up and expensive. Ntuc on pretense of workers welfare are muscling in to drive out indigenous vendors and prices. Anti competition act should be served.

Aiyoh you not see those merdeka gen wipe table collect cardboard so poor thing so thin. Boss want to make sure they eat balance diet, give them more meat also cannot? Such a sour and petty man huh you.

Next to the " what is the race'...we have to ask ourselves this question, "who own that place"?

when I see these Kofu, KPT, Kimly, I go on huger stike.

Not only leeches they are; Kofu can pay his own bro obscene perks as contractor.

We are not the world's most expensive city for nothing.....

If your leaders are earning millions, surely all must be doing well, so poor businessman also need to make their 6.9 millions.

Since when is sengkang GH high SES?

promises of cheap healthcare will be subsidized by commercial ventures ie the rents in the same building. you think they will dip into their own pockets to subsidize the healthcare. Its LPPL, end of the day the cost comes back to us...
