More than 20 ? Possible the whole Gang ( 170 ++ ) who Striked ???

More than 20 SMRT bus drivers from China escorted out of their dormitories

About 25 SMRT bus drivers from China were seen leaving both the Woodlands and Serangoon foreign worker dormitories at about 9am on Saturday.

Twenty drivers from the Woodlands dorm were escorted by policemen to board three SMRT-chartered buses, and have arrived at the Admiralty West Prison.

The five or so drivers from Serangoon, also escorted by police, went onto one bus, also heading for Admiralty West.

The drivers looked calm as they boarded the buses.

This is the latest development following an illegal strike by mainland Chinese drivers - 171 of them did not show up for work on Monday, citing unhappiness over wages and poor living conditions. The next day, 88 were absent.

Four of the drivers who allegedly instigated the strike were charged in court on Thursday and remanded a week for further investigations.

likely all these 171 will get their driver contract terminated and deported ?

Is there going to be another strike soon? By the healthcare sector?

Was He Ryan Goh ?

An SIA pilot who headed the strike some years back was labelled as "unwelcomed" PR and he was deported ? Was he Ryan Goh ?

Dun know how to resolve labour dispute just call in the police.
Uniquely Singapore.

I welcome the tough stance taken by the authorities. In fact all 171 who took part in the initial illegal action should be given their marching orders. Make an example of them. :D

i think all these ah thiong now regretted for the strikes, after they calm down they will realise they are getting paid much higher than a graduates in China. Why pick a stone to smash their own feet.

Re: Was He Ryan Goh ?

Yes...Ryan Goh Yew Hock

Nice enough guy.... used to go to his (Uncle Ryan's) place while in school... then suddenly never go to Uncle Ryan's place anymore.... don't think there was a strike, he merely threatened, no??
