The United Nations became the planet's main government, and it's military daughter, the GK was created. This combined the surviving forces of ALL nations under one command. the time for squabbles was over.

The UN set up it's headquarters in the Austrian Alps, deep inside the mountains for protection against the constant bombardment. Now, 10 years after the first attack, the GK has finished it's very first space worthy vessel capable of traveling at light speed. After years of working and training in secret, it's crew prepares to launch aboard the =GK= Darkstar. It's mission? Find out who the hell these aliens are, what they want and where they come from.
