In 1919 a red armband-wearing Hitler became an elected official in the communist-run Bavarian Soviet Republic. He later proclaimed himself a “Social Democrat.”

Most of the major Nazi and Fascist leaders were Marxists, or hard-core socialists who opposed both the bourgeoisie and capitalistic Jews.

A trend in 2024's high-end S'porean real estate market, as reported by Bloomberg, is the absence of property caveats in nearly 1/2 of GCB transactions. This omission of public legal filings, which document ownership, blocks these deals from the public, leading to concerns about oversight. The involvement of ministers in these pte transactions increases worries about transparency and accountability. The ethical implications of lawmakers participating in deals that deliberately circumvent public scrutiny is worrying. Negative reports from the ministars' point of view but certainly positive from the point of view of those who prioritize transparency and corruption-free.

As I stated in another post, high-end property transactions by Empress Ho's siblings, cousins and their children are not in the public records.

The only solution is to increase the number of MPs of opposition parties in Parleement at the coming general election.

LKY introduced money politics into the PAP. From 1955 to 1973, the PM's salary was $3,500 per month. A significant salary revision in 1973 increased the PM's pay rise to $9,500 monthly, and other ministers' salaries from $4,500 to $7,000. In 2016 values, these amounts were equivalent to approximately $27,742 (annual $360,646, including 13th month) and $20,441 (annual $265,733, including 13th month) respectively. Then PM LKY justified the increases by emphasising the need to attract qualified individuals to govt service, stating that ministerial salaries needed to be competitive with private sector earnings. He later reiterated this point in 1994, contrasting his generation of leaders with future politicians, who might be motivated by different factors i.e. $$$. This has come to pass.
