Online vice ring has no link to latest case, say police

The police say an online vice ring that made the news last month is not linked to Friday's case, which involved nine men charged with having commercial sex with underage Vietnamese prostitutes.
Investigations into the earlier incident are still ongoing, a police spokesman told The Straits Times on Friday.
However, sources said the high-profile probe - which counts a former primary school principal, public servants, finance professionals and lawyers among the 80 men called in for questioning - may be in its final stages.
Some of them are believed to have had paid sex with a prostitute who was below the age of 18 at the time.
