OnePlus has announced the company’s second smartphone, and at the same time their flagship, the OnePlus 2. This handset was announced at the end of last month, and like its predecessor, it sports top of the line specifications, and doesn’t cost all that much. The point of this device is that it competes with other flagships, but costs way less. Anyhow, the OnePlus 2 is similar to its predecessor in many ways, but its specifications are seriously upgraded, and it sports a metal frame this time around. That being said, the device is now available for purchase, presuming you have an invite. Read on.

This Chinese smartphone OEM has started selling the OnePlus 2 handset in the US, Europe, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and the users in India will be able to access the purchase screen later today (4PM IST). Keep in mind that it might take a short while until the ‘Buy with an invite’ icon appears for you on the company’s official website. OnePlus has already released shipping info for specific regions as well. It will take 10-15 business days for the device to ship to North America and Taiwan, 3-5 business days for EU and Hong Kong, and 5-7 business days for India.

Only the 4GB of RAM (64GB of internal storage) variant is available for purchase at the moment, the 3GB of RAM (16GB of internal storage) variant will be available later this year. You’ll, of course, need an invite in order to purchase the phone, as it was the case with the OnePlus One last year. OnePlus has already released info regarding invites as well, they will prioritize certain users, but everyone has a chance to get an invite. If you’d like to read more about that, click here. It is also worth mentioning that the device will be available in South Asia soon, but OnePlus didn’t specify when exactly.

The OnePlus 2 sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display along with 3 or 4GB of RAM (only the 4GB model is available at the moment) and 16 or 64GB of storage. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC, sports a 13-megapixel shooter on the back, and ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop with OnePlus’ Oxygen OS installed on top of Google’s OS. The device is priced at $389 or €399, depending on the region you live in. If you happen to have an invite, and want to purchase the device, follow the source link down below.
