for cny eve (here) and it's about to start, dinner is tofu and seafood hotpot. all tofu and vege stuffed with fish paste are homemade (they don't sell yong tau fu here). for "snow" or "ice" tofu, can buy medium firm tofu from grocery store and freeze it overnight without draining water. next morning when it thaws it will becum spongy. best for hotpot.

bell peppers stuffed with fish paste
assortment of seafood (sinkie style fishballs available in grocery store but frozen)
"snow" or "ice" tofu surrounded by fish tofu
hotpot setting for 6.9 diners; there's 2nd helping of each dish in the fridge; and i have to have my amc pot in the far corner. :p
