<p><img title="Air Defence Day" src="http://media.englishrussia.com/112012/airdefenceday/airdefenceday001-7.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Local surrealistic landscape</p>
<p><img title="Air Defence Day" src="http://media.englishrussia.com/112012/airdefenceday/airdefenceday001-8.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Each regiment included a military unit with pads and other rocket infrastructure, and 1,5-4 km away was a radio locator of a sector looking radar indexed as B-200. Each station, having 20 shooting canals, had to provide simaltaneous observation over 20 targets and aim at them up to 20 missiles.</p>
<p><img title="Air Defence Day" src="http://media.englishrussia.com/112012/airdefenceday/airdefenceday001-9.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>B-200 was located in a reinforced concrete construction, half underground. It could withstand a hit of 1000-kg HE-bomb.</p>
<p><img title="Air Defence Day" src="http://media.englishrussia.com/112012/airdefenceday/airdefenceday001-10.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Two target localization antennas and four antennas of command transmission were close to the construction on the concrete site.</p>

<p><img title="Air Defence Day" src="http://media.englishrussia.com/112012/airdefenceday/airdefenceday001-12.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Today the centre has a pity look and is not so interesting except the vehicles that served here.</p>
<p><img title="Air Defence Day" src="http://media.englishrussia.com/112012/airdefenceday/airdefenceday001-13.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Let’s move to the former combat part of the station. Recently they have built a fence here and people are building country houses over the territory.</p>

<p>Locator ST-68UM (5N59) is intended for detection, identification and tracking of air targets including strategic cruise missiles of ALCM type.</p>
<p><img title="Air Defence Day" src="http://media.englishrussia.com/112012/airdefenceday/airdefenceday001-15.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>The vehicle behind is the radar station 39N6 “KASTA-2-2″ – a mobile solid-state automated station providing detection, tracking of range, course and height of the flight, it also tracks air objects providing route characteristics (aircrafts, helicopters, remotely piloted vehicles and cruise missiles).</p>
