True but here in S'pore is self inflicted through the PAP policies. Over-crowding in say Shanghai is due to its massive population (and yet one can catch a train with plenty of space on the platform). In S'pore, it's due to indiscriminate import of foreign labors without upgrading our infrastructure. Same for inflation. In S'pore, the high numbers we are seeing now are due to high COEs, high property prices all of which are due directly to PAP policies, and not organic as with the case in other countries.

The signs were all there some 15 to 20 years ago but LKY was blinded to it as he can do no wrong. But things are now coming together now and the crumbling has started and will gain momentum. Meanwhile there are idiots here in this forum led by Leongsam who measure S'pore success by the number of millionnaires it has. Even a country totally without a govt can achieve that. That's the natural law of the jungle and it's the role of the govt to ensure that this should not happen at the expense of the poor and middle income. PAP has totally neglected that.
