Old main unable to balance

The old man has built a macho image of himself over the years when he was still a PM. Statements like 'jumping out of his grave if Singapore is mismanaged' and 'knuckle duster in cul de sac' have given an impression of a tough as nails leader, similar to Francisco Franco and Vladimir Putin. It will not look good on him, as we know the old man is particular about image and impression, if he says he want to call it quits or announcing that his health is in a terrible state.

In a way, he is a victim of his own created image and impression.

He's made it to 90. Give him a break. Not many of us will still be around to plant trees at that age with or without supporting lackeys.

He devoted his life to making Singapore what it is today. For that, he deserves our utmost respect.

remember this?

Of course who can forget the NS days when we had to support the PAP.

I remember this guy who was so large that they didn't have boots large enough to fit. So he wore slippers throughout NS:eek:
Can you imagine running around in a pair of slippers.?

Most Singaporeans are ready to give him a break when he handed over to Goh Chok Tong in 1990. But he didn't want to retire and made a Senior Minister position for himself to still be involved in politics. So he is the one who refuse to take a break.

That is the point - to give him a break.

Someone who was there said that the man had to be helped and held continuously and that it was a painful sight. Clearly he is stubborn. Time to step back. Pointless carrying out this charade for politics or even ego. I think it is also silly forcing a public servant to hold on to him with both hands. I am sure the security officer did not sign up for this.

When Mandela was ill there was plenty of concern among concerned south Africans. However when there are rumours of LKY being ill many "Sporeans" are waiting to uncork the bottle:D

LKY is rumoured to be very, very...wealthy. You don't become so wealthy by being an "honest" civil servant:rolleyes:

Which testicle do I inject the juice into?.. the swollen one to bring down the swelling or the normal one to balance things out?

You should probably do both. I heard from my friend who heard from her neighbour who learned it from the milkman who read it on the web that soursop does wonders, cures diseases, makes you young, etc. Maybe you should even try drinking it.

thanks for the hot tip scroobal now we can further fine tune in estimating in placing our bets as to when the old one will kick the bucket. Let's see how piece of news comes in cannot stand on both legs and needs support ah! should be less than 5 years.

KHS la what has needing to be held on both hands got to do with kicking the bucket? How do you co-relate these two? Hey I bet even this 破肚夭壽 if on wheel chair he still 嘴不死

People respect him for what he did - which is why they have been asking him for years to 'retire' rather than demanding him to step down. People are asking him to give them a break by not taking on another minister post and let the new cabinet run bu itself.

They are also people who genuinely wants him to reap the fruits and enjoy his golden years but instead he is telling everyone that they should work till they reach the grave.

You seem to like man cream. Want mine instead?

you and SB both creaming yourself now?because apparently ive been posting all over the net in an attempt to get pity...
COME ON..... sue me, and lets talk about in court. for sure, we will be talking about already 19-21nov

You mean Old Fart was held by a pair of hands from behind while he made a show of "planting" a tree?

See the pic below (published on front page of The Straits Times, 17 June 2013):

Haven't you guys noticed that dictators care a lot about their image? Just look at Gaddafi, Fidel Castro, Mao Zedong, Kim Jong-Il, Vladimir Putin

looks like one SO standing behind the old man holding on to his waist, partially hidden by CCS's left arm.

I'm not impressed with the act of planting a tree.

Wanna impress me? Do some bowling.

You can see a leg with sneaker between the old man, behind & someone is holding up the spade for him, while he make the cursory shovel.
