That's right. And today at a forum, Jayakumar defended the Old Fart's defamation suits as something he has to do because he has to protect his integrity. May I ask Jayakumar what integrity does this man has in going back on his words not to build any casinos but ended up building 2 in fact.
The reality is that the Old Fart's integrity went down the drain with the HPL case. Despite speaking for almost an hour in parliament, he could not come up with any convincing reason why he took the discount from Ong Beng Seng. Neither could his son who also spoke at the same parliament session. For many, the PAP's integrity had died with the HPL case. Ever since, whatever the Old Fart says or does is viewed with a great amount of suspicion. Ditto for his son now or for that matter any of PAP ministers. The trust has been lost forever.
