<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->MINISTER Mentor Lee Kuan Yew's advice to the United States to treat young Chinese students there well ('MM to US: Treat young Chinese well', Monday) is a timely reminder to us Singaporeans to be mindful of our foreign workers, in particular, our domestic help.
These are the flower of a nation from our neighbouring countries and their experience here could cast a long shadow on the future of international relations. For these are the hand that rocks the cradle of the generation yet to come as they return to their homeland. And the tales they spin of a wondrous land or a living hell will impact the minds of the children who will rise to positions of influence in government and business. Their attitude moulded on positive or negative feelings could well determine the level of friendship and cooperation we will enjoy in the region.
Let us therefore show our kindness and generosity to these people, who left their own kin and sacrificed their youthful years to care for our children and homes.

I concur that one must nice to anothe and also recicoparate a kind deed. Why they are maids and their country is poor? All these boils down to bad karma. Like dogs, some are treated like VIP(Very Important Pets) and some are strays.
MM Lee is twisting around all the time. He spoke a ton of good about being close with the US and now he is licking the boots of China. Do not listen to his nonsense. Use your brain.
Lastly, do you treat your maid well?
