Of great read and authors..

Personally, it's a good read but me got a naggy feeling Dawkins is carrying his own hatchet on the debate of atheism.

A must read if you are in the Drifter's Book Club. ;)

Not seen newer crop than above.

P Jeya -good enough light read (guess he's not into same now, his legal stuff not fiction anyhow)
Clare Tham -outspoken piece
Catherine Lim -more like literature classroom

I liked Colin Cheong's style, including travelogue pieces

Walter Woon, Simon -excuse my ignorance, was the former into fiction (outside his legal stuff)??

Walter wrote a fiction novel called "The Advocate's Devil". (not the devil's advocate) :D

Simon wrote a collection of short stories called "Stand Alone".

Is there any local ebook service, as Amazon's got many not available for SG market. Also Kobo's not exactly good range either.

Don't think there is any, but u can probably go to a bookstore and ask them to specially ship a book that u want.
I did that in HK once, but of course had to pay the shipping charges in addition to the cover price.

Any fan of James Clavell here? Terry Goodkind?

Just finished "Bringing Down The House" by Ben Mezrich...recommended to any bros who are going to MBS or RWS! Easy read to me...

the best King/Bachman book I read, second is Shawshank Redemption.
it's a magnificent story, absolutely mesmerizes the reader with its emotional power and life metaphors. it makes me think about life and death in a new light.

think Japanese novel Battle Royale took it's inspiration from The Long Walk.

Sound like an interesting novel. May want to borrow them from the library if they have.

Stephen King-Salem's lot, Cujo, Storm of the century, the green mile....nice read!
