Politics is all about the well being of American citizens. He is still speaking. He is still on the air as I type these few words.

Obama added that all Americans must have hope for a better future, that as long as they are willing to reach out, to work for it, there is hope for every Americans, better jobs for every Americans. That is what politics and running for the Presidency were for Obama, to better the lives of Americans, not foreigners.

Pap has always been rooting for republicans and their severe conservatism, I.e. tax cuts for the rich, and hold back on socialist policies. The fundamental values is that of Darwinism, the strongest survive, and the weaker ones get screwed thoroughly. Both also like to overspend on military defense.

Only difference is that pap is for more foreigners, while republicans are for less.

The size of government in Singapore is among the smallest in the world at 17% of GDP. Virtually every developed country you can think of has government spending at at least 30%. PAP big-government? More like "you die your own problem".

Thanks for the explanation. Don't take my comments on politics through a microscope, for it'll be flawed. I make the comment of "big government" because from what I know, the PAP and cronies are in every aspect of business and the board of directors are ex-generals and relatives, cronies, old school friends, etc. For example, NTUC, from cradle to grave, they're everywhere, but their stuff are not cheaper. Besides, the union is a government mouthpiece. Hence, my feeling it's PAP idea for bigger government, that's all.

If my comment is flawed, it's ok because I'm what you would call political apathetic. Most times, I dont know what the PAP is trying to do for I dont get any benefits or handouts from the government. I rely on myself and my skills to feed myself and family. I dont need bigger government. I'm more republican than democratic but I think I'm more of a center type, not the extreme conservative or extreme liberal.
