Number of homeless people doubles

All our lip serving Minstars and MPs parrot given lines. They are there to serve themselves. Sadly only a handful is there to serve the country and its people?
The younger turks are just climbing the corporate ladder and looking after their political careers.

Kishore is right. Ever notice people who sleep in void deck and park benches somehow can afford to pay for their food?

Case of Singaporean died due to poverty-related starvation = 0.

I don't know where or how these supposedly destitutes got their money, but they sure aren't starving.

Stranger than fiction, there are many, staying in affordable flats, that are renovated so swanky that the Taj Mahal is pare in comparison; are sleeping in them, but cannot afford to pay for the flat. Even stranger than fiction, that these same people have huge deposits with CPF in which the can not even touch to pay off their debts, unless they die ( by unnatural means), or reach 55 or 62 or.....

Those who have money, but no homes, and those with homes have no money...both appear to be starving & are starving..but we have no homeless or people starving...:D

Uniquely SINkingpore!!

This is how the Ah Beng often finds himself in hot soup. By insinuating that others somehow do not have their priorities straight. When the problem eventually finds its way to the Ah Beng's doorstep, which it definitely will in due course, the Ah Beng will then feign indignation and KPKB at the powers-that-be for not looking after "Singaporeans" best interest.

This is how the current set of problems started out. When minority Singaporeans were disenchanted with the blatant discrimination and asked for fair and equal employment practices at the workplace some 10 to 15 years ago..the minority was pointedly told that he was stoopid and lazy and Singapore practices meritocracy according to the Ah Beng. Can we say that there is employment protection and meritocracy today while the Ah Beng is told he is overpaid and needs "spurs up his thick hide" and that is the reason why companies advertise for FTs only and hire only FTs instead of the Ah Beng?
