The National Trades Union Congress and the Singapore National Employers Federation would like to express our concern about the improper treatment of some foreign workers. We would like to remind employers of their responsibility to foreign workers and to comply with the conditions of employing foreign workers on work permits.
Under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act, employers of work permit holders are to provide adequate accommodation and food, and cover the medical costs of their foreign workers. They are also required to pay the wages of their workers promptly, and settle all outstanding wages before they are repatriated. Employers face stiff penalties if they are found to have breached these provisions.
Foreign workers complement and supplement the local workforce and make important contributions to our economy. They must be treated fairly by employers who bring them into Singapore.

Employers are wolves. Unless you put in place stringent punishment and enforce it you cannot expect any result dear executives. For e.g. ask employer to deposit $ 10K with MOM per employee upfront, so that if case they dont pay salary MOM can pay from this. Without doing such positive acts you cannot spend your time in lecturing to employers.
