NS deaths for smart sinkies

These were recorded and so privy to the public ...how about those unsaid and unpublished , i was in SAFTI and suicides were reqular affairs . ..during my days almost all our AR15 were Vietnam’s second hand and regularly jams during life fire , I had personally seen our 60mm blowing itself and victims sprawled all over the field , there was even an incident I got under an Unimog overturned and pinned a soldier who I heard late died ...never seen our shitty times publishing any of these
Do you have a date or incident in mind? I will have a rumour thread at some point . If you post like this we wont have any idea when this happened. There is a list leaked by a cmpb ns boy he was charged.

And ignore idiot leong. There is never too many deaths

There were many classified deaths inside the SAF. Murders, suicides, fatal bully-tortures, pranks gone bad, mishaps during live firing or range shooting, soil disease etc.

I presume that in the bad old days, few of them were reported on mainstream news. If they were, it would probably be a small paragraph tucked away at the corner of a newspaper's page.

NS is just a microcosm of life so it is hardly surprising that what happens in the real world would be duplicated within the confines of a military organisation. It's the same the world over.

However I give full credit to the SAF for creating an environment that is SAFER than the world outside thanks to the commendable emphasis on safety and welfare of the troops.

There is no such thing as safe army or safer environment in its training , there can never be ...unless , you expect enemy forces to be a polite lot who ask you permission , ‘ May I kill you Sir ?’ ....army are just that - a trained killing machines who must fight under any conditions foreseeable or unforseable...and soldiers are expected to die the moment they signed on , and death is merely casualty in warfare and the trick is to reduce the number but never death per ce

in many worldwide regiments deaths to its soldiers are treated with honour though mourned , every family of regular knows that someday their sons and fathers will return in body bags with their national flags wrapped but unlike our fucking SAF , their army takes care of their fallen soldiers families ,sorry ! The government does that such as pension for life to widows and mothers , free education to the fallen soldiers children and such

the real soldiers I knew were Scottish regiments such the fusiliers or R Guards , their men regularly slip among the longhouse In Kalimantan in the night and slit the throats of one or two at night , so the whole village wakes up terrified the next morning , how many of our NS boys even dare to slit the throats of chickens for dinner ? Even I did that in my days because chickens were sold life in our markets

Our SAF was created in the likes of IAF , but every Israelis knows where they stand should they even lose a battle whreas our SAF only knows where is the best chicken rice sold here and across the causeway

that being said , our armed forces are merely an illusion , an illusion created to do war dances but never to go to a war , Yes ! Dances we can very well do and that too safely but to war you must go mentally prepared to die

All we know they are NDP drill soldiers.

It take 3 months drill practices to march in line before NDP.

that's the most important part of NSF training.

I spend 3 months for BMT, 3 months for vocational training and repeat the same for another 3 months. That take up 9 months.

them spend 12 months attached out for sports:

rugby, swimming competition, waterpolo, life guard course, tennis, enough to cover for 12 months.

That was only compete in formation games and sport.

left with 3 months for NDP drill partice.

So what type army is that.... uhhh?

fuck PAP....

But the CAQ son of traitor LKY beat us to it... did only less than 3 month of BMT was his army life.

Truly a CAQ BG soldier...

I know about a dozen more names not included in your list. eg. the commandoes who fell to their deaths from a rappelling accident from a helicopter. The pilot released the ropes at too high a height. Also, know about another suicide and several starlight deaths not mentioned.
I think it not the red beret but the khakis beret.
Kapitan Teddy Quak would be COA if had not die in shoalwater. If my OC can be a BG 12 years ago, Teddy Quak would be COA then as be he went thru sandhurst. He was not a 270 days wonder from ocs. His death from what I heard was not what was posted. Then again I dunno what I heard is true or BS from fellow reservist.
Also not listed was vehicle overturned during armour skill at arms competition. VC head crushed by vehicle and brain matter fly all over. The duty medic had to collect the brain. Heard from lao cek that from then on no more skill at arms.

I don't quite agree in your view. Imho, at least I believe my active and reservist battalion are adequate competent. Sure some men will not report for duty but majority will still in pro and draw arms, vehicles, ammo, logistic supplies and roll out of gedong rear gate in 8hrs. I dunno about other units but my battalion had field training in area d every week, the drills become ingrained in memory.
Being a soldier is not being Rambo, the drills or training is to let everyone work as a team,, know what to expect what the guy next to you will do and what he expect u to do without a single word being said.Commanders no need to shout orders as the men are well trained enough to know what to do. Soldiering is not being brave but not being a coward. If I can kill an enemy with a burst of 25mm cannon ammo then why should I want to stealthy slit his throat with my lousy bayonet. This is the different between trained soldiers and a bunch of armed civilians. Everyone seems to have low opinion in NSF and reservist ability to fight. Individually maybe all CMI but as a formation should be alright. I have faith in the rank and file. Of course I can only speak for my own battalion.

Even if the number of fatalities is double or triple the official numbers it is still a very low figure compared to the huge numbers that have performed their 2.5 years of NS and emerged fitter, stronger and wiser.

Civilian work place accident rates are far higher and the road accident death toll is higher still. NS is safer than commuting.
Employment is personal choice while NS is involuntarily.

in fact one pakistan sinkie couple and one canadian sinkie couple sent their children back to die for nonpthing. Malaysian thinking also that shithole is paradise buried their son bullied in that scdf incident. Education has nothing to do with coolie brain. Default dumb

As I mentioned, many deaths are not known.
