hahaha...this kind of news indeed shows the idiocy of those pappies who run the Govt in sinkieland.
If a common criminal could figure out a way to con the ICA and the pappies, the inefficiency of the pappies in implementing national security would be a cause for concern.
Why applicants for passport were not required to be present during application and collection to have their photographs and fingerprints verified?
It is flabbergasting that a Minister being paid mega salary could not understand how national security and the system could be compromised if passports were issued like toilet papers to anyone who just submitted a photograph? Time to ask the pappies to go seems inevitable.
Man jailed for selling passport to match-fixer.....A 42-year-old man who applied for a Singapore passport using a photo of convicted match-fixer Wilson Raj Perumal and later sold it to him was sentenced yesterday to 18 months' jail.
Subramaniam Sellapah had given his name and particulars for a Singapore biometric passport that bore Wilson Raj's photograph.
The travel document was found on Wilson Raj when he was arrested in Finland on April 16 last year, for travelling using a forged Singapore passport and his involvement in fixing football matches...Raja Morgan had supplied his own particulars for an earlier passport - also using Wilson Raj's picture - that the latter had used to abscond from Singapore on May 30 in 2010....
