I'm sure you have read or heard of many stories about "the other woman". You may even know some women who are or were "the other woman", or the mistress of a married man.
I'm never interested in the other woman. She must have her own reasons for being a mistress. Financial reasons, for fun, for love, whatever. As for the man, we all know the reason. He is well off, the wife has grown old and frigid, he is still virile, his financial standing allows him to find someone younger and sexier.
What interests me most is the thinking of the wife.
Does she know or does she pretend not to know?
What are the reasons she continues to stay with him?
Does she use the children as an excuse? Or are the reasons purely financial?
Does she mind that her children, her relatives or her friends know and talk?
Would it make a difference to her actions if someone actually tells her or discusses with her, as opposed to remaining an ostrich?
