No such thing as herd immunity as India CV19 cases rocket..

Just checked the stats again. India is doing very, very well with stats similar to Japan. Looks like herd immunity could well be at play.

India Covid-19 Cases: Eight states account for 81.42 per cent of the new infections.

New Delhi: India saw the biggest daily surge in Covid cases since mid September with 93,249 fresh infections reported since yesterday, taking the tally to over 1.24 crore cases. Today's surge is the highest since September 19 when 93,337 cases were recorded. Here are the top 10 updates on coronavirus:
  1. India has been registering a steady increase for the 25th day in row. The active cases in the country have now surged to 6,91,597, accounting for 5.54 per cent of the total infections. The recovery rate further dropped to 93.14 per cent, the data stated. The active caseload was at its lowest at 1,35,926 on February 12, comprising 1.25 per cent of the total infections.
  2. Eight states account for 81.42 per cent of the infections reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. These eight states are Maharashtra, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh.
  3. Sixty per cent of the daily cases are coming from Maharashtra alone. The western state - which has shown a nine-fold jump in the last two months -reported 49,447 coronavirus cases and 277 deaths on Saturday. Eight of the ten districts with the highest number of coronavirus cases are in Maharashtra.
  4. State capital Mumbai reported more than 9,000 daily coronavirus cases on Saturday - its highest ever single-day spike since the begining of the pandemic. It also logged 27 deaths in the last 24 hours.
  5. Meanwhile, Delhi recorded over 3,500 coronavirus cases for the second consecutive day on Saturday. The positivity rate in the national capital has risen to 4.48 percent from 4.11 per cent the day before, according to the health department.
  6. The worrying surge in Covid cases has prompted many states to reinforce virus-fighting measures, including closure of educational institutions and restrictions on gatherings for marriages and other family functions.
  7. The country is witnessing a worrying surge in cases amid a vaccination drive through which over seven crore people have been vaccinated so far.
  8. The government has removed frontline medical and healthcare workers from registering for COVID-19 vaccination. It said the move is to ensure vaccine coverage expands quickly to include more categories of people, such as those above 45, as frontline medical and healthcare workers have already got first priority and enough time to get vaccinated.
  9. India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.
  10. With 1.24 crore infections, India has the third highest number of cases in the world after the United States and Brazil.

Wrong yet again. Everytime you post, I will just put the facts on here to refute you, just like I always do.

Good try but you're trying to be sneaky by posting totals instead of cases per million. India has population of 1.4 BILLION which is more than 5 times that of Brazil.

If you want to debate by all means give us your best but deploying dishonesty and deception simply means you don't have a leg to stand on.

In addition cases mean nothing because each country has a different testing regime.

Just concentrate on the deaths per million and you'll see the true picture emerge.

Here's today's figures based upon deaths per million. Putting things in perspective relative to the population clearly illustrates just how mild Covid is when viewed against overall mortality figures. Even Brazil with 15 deaths per million indicates that Covid is far milder than it is made out to be. 15 deaths per million is 0.0015% of the population which is a very small number for what is purportedly a killer virus.

India is less than 1 death per million people ie such a small fraction that it hardly registers on a graph.

The cumulative deaths per million put India in an even better light with numbers way below Brazil and the USA.

Cases mean nothing because very few are actually sick.

1.4 billion people and only 165,000 deaths. That's 0.0117% of the population.

You need to google for more articles.

If they want to make things worse they are welcome to go ahead. Only idiots think that doing the same thing over and over again will result in a different outcome this time round.

If you want to stick to raw case numbers here's a comparison you should take a look at :

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.
More like newly created virus to enhance its contagiousness among human beings. and then it is used as an excuse to inject mRNA vaccines to injure and kill you.

LOL! Its "just a flu" just ask these other countries, LOL! How come they have rising cases and deaths?:roflmao:

Oh that's right its "just a flu" LOL! :o-o:

They must all be "fat" LOL OUCH !:tongue::tongue:

the so called flu went from epidemic to full blown pandemic in a matter or months for a reason

only idiots would deny it

Everything is relative and not absolute for our idiot admin.. 0.1% of 6 billion death is a trivialized number even when the covid death is now approaching 3 millions...Just like his father and mother died is nothing because it is only 2 person dying in the grand scheme of things.. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Has ADMIN given up? My favorite pastime is "smearing it in his face" LOL!:tongue::tongue:

My father and mother are both dead one from pneumonia brought on by influenza and the other from a heart attack.

It was no big deal. We grieved and moved on. I did not demand that the country locked down because of the flu or that we sue the char kuay teow man for clogging up my dad's arteries. :whistling:

Death is inevitable. There is no pointing fighting an unwinnable battle.

Once the data for the whole year is in you'll see that Covid is no big deal. The vast majority are dying with covid and not from covid. In other words if someone who died from a heart attack tested positive for covid it is counted as a covid death and not a heart disease death.

Not only can I read very well I also have the capability of seeing through the smoke and mirrors so that I can concentrate on the raw data and what I see shows that Covid is no big deal.

Nobody is saying that Covid does not exist but it is nothing like what it is made out to be and lockdowns, masks and other ridiculous measures are way over the top.

Society should just soldier on. Mankind has survived far worse.
