i wonder how much millions are lost per day due to train disruption because govt. want to save a few hundred bucks for social welfare?

SINGAPORE: A woman was killed after being hit by a train at Clementi MRT station early Tuesday morning.

Police say they received a call at about 6.15am that a person had fallen onto the train tracks.

The Chinese woman, who was in her early seventies, was pronounced dead at about 7am by paramedics.

SMRT said the incident at 6.15am caused westbound service between Queenstown and Jurong East MRT stations to be affected.

To maintain service on the unaffected stretch of the East-West line, westbound trains were turned around at Queenstown MRT Station.

Train service between Jurong East and Joo Koon stations were not affected by the incident.

SMRT also activated a bus bridging service from Queenstown to Jurong East stations to ferry affected passengers.

The first bus arrived at Queenstown MRT Station at about 6.50am.

Westbound train services resumed at 7.03am.

SMRT said about 6,250 passengers were affected during the incident.

Passengers who were unable to complete their journeys due to the disruption can claim a full fare refund from the Passenger Service Centre in any of the 53 SMRT stations within the next three working days.

SMRT is assisting the Police in their investigations of the case which has been classified as unnatural death.

They can sign up to be ship to Johor for rehabilitation or sign up in the future for recyling as food, which will be hygenically processed for human consumption, just like now, we recyle shit water for drinking!

Should delay the jump for 0ne hour. That will make a big impact or world headline news.
If every day people jump track something must be wrong. Look like Singapore number 1st choice for suicide is JUMP MRT track.
In Hong Kong number 1 method is using charcoal.

This government is really useless in helping the poor!

With all the resources available in today's society, they used it to further their money making machinations, GIC and Temasek!

If they use a fraction of the billions they hoard in long term investment or from our stupid Defense Budget to provide better welfare to the poor, the elderly, the handicapped, the underprivileged, the orphans, I believe such tragedies will never ever happen. Singapore will then be a place for Singaporeans to work hard in and retire with dignity...
