An English teacher from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Business College has shot to fame on the Internet for her beauty.

According to Chinese citizen journalism website, Chinasmack, netizens have dubbed her “Goddess Sister”.

The teacher, Lin Xuewei, who has set the hearts of her students racing with her natural good looks, is from Guangdong’s Huizhou.

Her rise to fame started after students took photographs of her in class and posted them online – which soon led to her beauty becoming widely discussed in cyberspace.

Supposedly, students no longer skip their English classes because of the pretty teacher's presence.

Guangzhou Daily reported that her classes have a 100 per cent attendance rate, a rare feat considering that absenteeism is the norm at Chinese universities.

She was unwilling to speak to the press about her sudden fame but said she was unaware she had been photographed in class, and that the attention will not get in the way of teaching.

Describing her beauty, one student told the Daily: "When she doesn't smile, she looks cool and pretty. But once she smiles, she looks touchingly beautiful."
