Referring to Civil Service and major companies. Using their PCs will allow you access to the internet but not the usual access that private users have with Singtel, Republic etc.

I never have a problem downloading porn sites here in singapore. if you know where to go, its not a problem at all.

of course gov and companies have firewalls and acl's that prevent certain sites from being accessed. this is well understood and doesn't need reiteration. you're missing by a mile some of the lingo we use such as "panda porn" which is actually not porn, but harmless pandas in captivity trying to have sex with trees and props on youtube.

my company is ok with sammyboy.com but blocks singsupplies.com. i don't know why. never tried sammyboyforum.com as that one for sure is blocked.

There was a time when anyone in govt or associated with Govt can forward the URL which they deemed to questionable to be blacklisted in the firewall. They just added it without thinking. It was subjective and judgemental. They stopped the practice and now rely on vendors and industry acceptable standards.

SBF forum is not blocked.
