Whatever happened to Chen Show Mo?
Top student in whole of Singapore in 1979(same batch as Vivian Balakrishnan), President of NJC student's council, Harvard/Oxford/Stanford Alumnus, Rhodes Scholar, top international commercial lawyer in a top US international law firm.
With that kind of stellar CV one would have expected great things from him when entered the local political arena.
Sadly and unfortunately, looks like he just fizzled out.
I can only remember two things about him during his time in local politics to-date.
1. When he was taking the bus, looked genuine unlike the PAP wayang.
2. When he told TCH in parliament during the 38, Oxley Road saga, that LKY is not his father.
Side-step doesn't mean out of sight. Look at Woody Goh, still reluctant to give up his seat in parliament and simply staring at the ceiling, deluding his own importance there.A real waste if he has been sidestepped due to party politics
Either WP or PSP.Joining the WP is a smart move. Her best bet. Or even TCB’s party. The others all bo chance.
Disappointed. Had great expectations when he first came on the scene. But somehow he never seemed to take off.Leaving the party according to my source.
Well apparently GCT said "Quo Vadis" yesterday on his Facebook!Side-step doesn't mean out of sight. Look at Woody Goh, still reluctant to give up his seat in parliament and simply staring at the ceiling, deluding his own importance there.
