Yes. Like the Omega Seamaster dark blue or grey blue, which is a more eye pleasing shade of blue. Which colour Black Bay 58 did you get? For me, I always need the date function.
39mm too small.
42mm or bigger
It might be bigger with a blue face
Or light blue ceramic bracelet.
I think the date submariner still the best looking.Yes. Like the Omega Seamaster dark blue or grey blue, which is a more eye pleasing shade of blue. Which colour Black Bay 58 did you get? For me, I always need the date function.

That's the design that launched a few thousand clones! The definitive diver watch design. I like rolex because of their cyclops lens. My eyes are old and tired. I have trouble reading the date on my Pelagos these days, need plenty of light then can see.I think the date submariner still the best looking.

Stick with the navy blue black bay, you can't go wrong with it. It's like black, can go with any colour attire. Glad you didn't get the blue pelagos, that blue is ugly.I don't need the date function because it is too much trouble keeping the date right. I ordered the navy blue black bay the one in the photo above.
Only because they just had to stick with the tradition of 20mm bracelet. Imagine the 42mm Explorer II with a 20mm bracelet (which is what I have), looks very out of proportion.Lugs are too thick. The previous model was better proportioned.

In 2008 , it cost sgd $7k plus .Lugs are too thick. The previous model was better proportioned.
Love the explorer II but why the hell did they have to make it 42mm if it had been same size as the original explorer it would be on my wrist right now!Only because they just had to stick with the tradition of 20mm bracelet. Aluminium bezel inserts have their charm too. They will fade and look seasoned in time. Chlorine will accelerate the fading, I found that out because I used to swim a lot in the pool with my blue seamaster. I can't stand those glossy ceramic ones. I find them too flashy, hence I fell in love with the matte ceramic on the Pelagos. The only thing I don't like about the Black Bay 58 is that the bezel is aluminium not ceramic. Prone to dents and scratches. I guess you get what you pay for.
