New MRT Trains from Bombardier

Bombardier is just ang mob word for pilots that flew bombers back in the old days

Or a French name for artillery men in the old days....

The company is Canadian which is French and they also make planes and bombers in WWII I assume.
Bombardier bought over de Havilland which once produced airplanes for the UK under license during WWII. The airplane units have been sold back to mitsubishi for their commuter jets and Viking air for the turbo props.
Company run by son in law to founder who has passed away.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bomba...ese trains will be deployed from 2024 onwards.

"The trains manufactured by Bombardier under Contract R151 (CR151) are the upcoming seventh generation electric multiple unit rolling stock to be introduced on the existing North South and East West lines of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system. The new rolling stock will replace all of the C151s, C651s and C751Bs, which have been in service for at least 20 years. These new trains are part of the North South and East West lines' core systems upgrade and renewal programme.

66 six-car high-capacity Bombardier Movia trainsets comprising 396 cars will be delivered from 2021 onwards, entering service from 2022. The design of the trains will be completed in Germany, in coordination with Bombardier's Singapore team. The trains will be manufactured in Bombardier's Changchun facility in China.

With Alstom's agreement to acquire Bombardier's rail business in February 2020,[5] it is not known as to whether there will be any changes in specifications to the CR151 trains.

In September 2020, it was announced that the Land Transport Authority has acquired 40 more R151 trainsets at a cost of S$337.8 million, to replace the 2nd and 3rd generation Siemens C651 and Kawasaki-Nippon Sharyo C751B, which have been in service for 25 years and 20 years respectively. These trains will be deployed from 2024 onwards.[6]"

"Changchun Bombardier Railway Vehicles Company Ltd. (CBRC) was established in 1997 by Bombardier and Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. (CRC). Our Changchun facility produces metro cars."

I don't know much about Bombardier trains but their Jet skis suck big time. Yamaha and Kawasaki Jet Skis are way more reliable.

A country with infighting with Muslim cannot even make a great country don't make good products.

Cut and paste parts out together as they design will end up in workshop to fix, cut and paste only.

Well, at least it's not a Tiong brand.

This is the MRT in Fuzhou, China.

Maybe not be a tiong brand but not surprised if some of the components are sub out and OEM in China before re-assembling back in Germany or Japan....
