<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"-->SINGAPORE has confirmed another 16 new cases of H1N1 flu, made up of seven local cases and nine cases with travel history, according to the latest statement released from the Ministry of Health on Sunday night. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Singapore to 142.
The seven new local cases include two additional ones from the Riverlife Church cluster, one new cluster linked to Butter Factory at One Fullerton, one case who had contact with an earlier confirmed case, and three unlinked cases who did not have any travel history or known contact with confirmed cases.
Riverlife Church cluster
Six of these cases attended the church's function on June 13 or/and June 14, while one patient is a contact of a confirmed case who also came to the function.
The 130th case is a 20-year-old Singaporean female student who developed a fever on June 17. She too attended the church's event. She went out for wakeboarding on June 18 and sought medical attention at a GP clinic the day after.
On June 20, she consulted the same GP and was sent to CDC where swabs were taken from her. She was prescribed medication and was discharged. She was re-admitted when she tested positive for H1N1 flu.
The 127th case is a 12-year-old Singaporean boy who lives in Australia. He and his mother arrived in Singapore on May 30 for a family visit and stayed with his aunt's family, including his cousin - the 115th case -from the Riverlife Church cluster reported on June 20.
The 12-year-old boy developed symptoms on June 19. He and his family members were driven to the CDC for screening after his cousin was found to have the H1N1 flu. The 12-year-old boy also tested positive.
New cluster
A new, third cluster has been found with one case possibly linked to Butter Factory at One Fullerton.
The 140th case is a 19-year-old Singaporean female student who had gone out to the nightclub, where the 96th, 117th and 118th cases were also at. She developed symptoms on June 19 while she was out shopping.
She went to NUH for a follow-up treatment for an unrelated medical condition where swabs were taken. She was then admitted to NUH after her test indicated positive for the flu.
There is also a local case who is a contact of a confirmed case. He is a 22-year-old Malaysian man, who is a colleague of the 121st case.
Also discovered were another three unlinked cases with no travel history and no known contact with confirmed cases. The patient is a 39-year-old Singaporean man who developed symptoms on June 19.
He had gone out to have lunch with his wife and returned home, where he stayed for the rest of the day. He called his GP the day after and was advised to call a 993 ambulance. He was sent to the CDC ED around noon and admitted at night after testing positive for the flu.
The other two cases are a 22-year-old Singaporean female student who had taken part in a church camp at Prince George's Park from Monday to Thursday last week (June 15 - June 18) and a 21-year-old Singaporean national serviceman based at the Clementi Police Station.
MOH advises all Butter Factory patrons who visited the nightspot on June 17 to monitor their health closely. They are advised to seek medical attention if they should begin to feel unwell.
Imported cases
There are nine cases with history of travel, one of whom is a 14-year-old Singaporean female student who had been to Bandung and Punchak in Indonesia.
The nationalities of the nine imported cases are:
3 Singaporeans
2 Singapore PRs (1 from Malaysia and 1 from Philippines)
4 foreigners (1 Filipino, 1 Malaysian, 1 Australian and 1 from Indonesia) They had travelled to Australia, Philippines, UK and Indonesia.
