New developments to share

I do hope that both governments will work towards streamlining the custom process.
With so much developments going on, it will be in their vested interest to make the crossings as painless as possible.
As it is, the causeways are Bottlenecks to the developments.

I so very hope so too! It's really gonna get worse.

these theme parks are part of the bigger plan to attract tourists spillover from SG, and stay for 2-3 days in JB. Genting is putting where the money is. USS, hotel in Jur West, JPO.. and tour agencies can arrange them to visit Legoland, Hello Kitty, new theme park and stay at lego hotel or PH.

and if its 6 flags, i am WOWED. this is a big name attraction.

Could this be the project which Najib say he will personally announce in dec? He did mentioned that it will be something bigger than legoland and that johore very lucky. We all waited with bated breath for his announcement but nothing came. If 6 flags then its definitely a coup for UEM.

Is there any good developments plans for Senai Airport?

With all the plans for Iskandar, having a good airport with many flights to different parts of Asia and the World will boost the appeal for tourism and commercial activities .
Senai should be developed if Iskandar region wants to be a regional player.
Businesses will find it easier when they can fly straight in and out to their destinations instead of travelling up to KL or down to Changi first.

There seems to be quite a lot of banks and shops there, except for the lack of a shopping mall. I'm thinking future MRT (>10 years?) and developments could have a positive impact on Taman Molek as it has landed properties near the causeway. Not sure whether to go ahead to book a unit although price has increased. Please let me know of any bad points. Thanks.

I think for the new leaders presently... they seem to realise the benefits of working together for mutual profit and advantage.
It will be a win win situation for Singapore and Malaysia to cooperate.
Both sides should put in more resources and make speedy custom clearance a priority.

But there is always uncertainties in life, the coming Elections could bring about new leaders with different priorities.
So we have to see how things turn out. Just hope the Elections bring about leaders that are still pro Iskandar! :D

It is good that things are really happening. As long as FDIs keep pouring in, there is hope.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 9 (Bernama) -- Iskandar Investment Bhd (IIB) has denied any links with PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol and Six Flags Entertainment Corp with regards to the establishment of the third theme park in Iskandar Malaysia.

There is to date no association, formally or otherwise, between IIB and the American company, Six Flags Entertainment Corp and the Indonesian theme park developer, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, with regards to the third theme park, it said, clarifying a story by Bernama yesterday.
