You can add older folks to that group. Retirees prefer something compact, easier to manage. Also Singaporeans are used to condo lifestyle and like the facilities as well as security. So I will not be surprised if like you say condos in certain locations take off in a big way.As for rental, yes some of su would prefer to leave it vacant or own use and just reap capital gains. The qauntum is low so its not much of an issue unless you're cash strapped. On the pother hand the early investors in condos like Ujana @ East Ledang , Fairway Suites in HH and Sky Executive suites in BI are getting very handsome yields. The yield may come down a bit though when they have competition.However I see more Singaporeans moving there in years to come so supply may be absorbed.
