They hide in corners and sometimes blend with the crowd to await unfortunate cigarette butts throwers. Yesterday I saw the NEA at work while on my way to Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange. When I was at the carpark beside the interchange, I saw a man,after finishing his last puff of the cigarette, looking for a dustbin to put away the butt. But there was none to be found. so he threw it onto the ground.
As soon as he did that, two men suddenly appeared from the corner of the building and announced that they are from NEA and demanded his identity card. The man was visibly stunned but reluntantly handed over his IC for the officers to record his particulars. He was issued a summons.
The man showed me that summons as he was illiterate. I read it and it said that he has committed an offence under 17(2) of the Environmental Public Health Act for throwing a cigarette butt in a publc place. He was ordered to pay a compound fine of $300 or be charged in court.
Later I learned from the bus drvers at the interchange that the NEA officers are ambushing there everyday and at least 30 people are caught in any day.

For those who drive, throwing ciggie butts is one of their targets. In Orchard Road walk way, there are many Evil Agents there, So beware.

In economics, there is a term ' if every thing is equal', assume, they get 30 persons a day, 3 days a week, that will be $27,000, 4 weeks in a month, that will be $108,000, 12 months in a year , 1 million, 2 hundred 9 ninty 6 six thousand....wow!, a harlot, will have to deduct 7 days in a month, 84 days in a year for 'hole maintenance'...

no wonder...evil servants can afford to take no pay leave & learn finer pints of FRENCH cooking...

This one I agree...they should go to Seragoon Rd, Campbell Lane, Buffalo Rd, Kerbau Rd..aka "LITTLE INDIA"

Lucky Plaza, Golden Mile Complex, City Plaza...Changi Village..Geylang roads all the lorongs in even numbers...

Boon Lay Interchange, Jurong Point I & II, Jurong West...Jurong East Interchange..what else is missed out?

They should get plenty of litter bugs...the National Evil Agency Officers...dare to fine these Foreign Talents??????:p

It appears that litterbugs even have their supporters in this forummers - starting from the threadstarter.

These filthy people are ever ready to do Singapore in. They can't stand the fact that Singapore had to work hard to keep it as one of the cleanest cities in this part of the world.

Their mouths and hearts are just as filthy. We teach our children not to litter, they teach their children to litter. We teach our children to respect authorities, they teach their children to hate authorities.

People who litter ought to pay for the work that the sweepers have to do. People who support such anti-social people in this forum better watch out for the lightning strike.

although i tulan gov for all their wrong doings. but i think this guy deserves it!!! i think cigarette butts prob is like chewing gum prob now! you can see cigarette butts everywhere!!! toilets, basins, urinals, staircase, drainage, its really everywhere!!! in the first place why people have to smoke to burn the money away??? polluting the air for non smokers and then litter to pollute the enviroment??? stop smoking and don't feed the gov with all the duty paid for cigarette!!!! fuck the stupid mother fuckers smokers!!!
