Short regular season, but this season's playoffs are exciting.

The "elderly" Celtics think this could be their last chance at a championship,
so they are trying their best to see off the young and stubborn 76ers.
Series currently 3-2 to the Celtics eastern SF.

The superstar Heat are surprisingly finding it hard to see off the Pacers.
One of the big 3 Bosh is injured indefinitely.
D Wade is starting to throw tantrums. LBJ is a great player but he can be a choker at crunch time.

The "elderly" Spurs have swept Chris, Blake and the Clippers 4-0 and are having a good rest.

Not for long though, cos the Thunder just defeated Kobe and his softie big men Lakers 4-1.
It will be interesting to see how the Spurs cope with the energy and skills of KD, Westbrook and Harden.
Imo, KD should have been the regular season MVP.
He has such a smooth stroke, a real team player and most importantly, a crunch time player.

ha you like Basketball bro.....in 1984 i was on holidays with my brother and dad. We were in LA and were staying at the Marriott.

The Lakers were at the hotel and some of the players were there...damned tall i tell you. We were chuckling when we compared ourselves to them.

the Lakers an ageing team, after selling off Lamar Odom weaken the team. They will be out, no match for the brute force of the Thunders.

I support Jackson, from Chicago to Lakers. Hope he return to coaching soon.

That would have been the time when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (7 foot 2 inches) and Ervin "Magic" Johnson (6 foot 9 inches) were still playing for the Lakers.
Magic besides being the part owner of a baseball team, is now an NBA analyst on ESPN.
If u didn't listen carefully to what he was saying, u might think he talks like a retard.
But if u listen to the content, he is one of the sharpest analyst around. Gets to the point straight away
and never holds back, albeit speaking in a rather languid drawn out manner.

The Thunder have just defeated the Lakers 4-1 in the western conference SF and will now meet the Spurs in the western finals.
Lamar has had a bad year, he went to the Mavericks and was then released by them, not sure the reason but could be disciplinary.
Jackson probably retired for good already, he has serious health problems and he has certainly won enough with both teams.

ok, then i pick spurs to prevail. they have the experience.

they werent at the hotel....saw kurt rambis...james worthy...and a few others....mebbe jaamal wilkes.

Ya at that time they were on the upswing. I think that season they lost to the Celtics who had Bird, Mchale, Parish, johnson

Spurs - old and savvy

Thunder - young and energetic

It will be close.
Could be the same for Heat vs Celtics.

Yeah, great players, all those u mentioned.
Rambis was a former Lakers coach and now also an NBA analyst.
He looks better now tham when he was playing.

Bird was just voted executive of the year. He's head of basketball operations of the Indiana Pacers.

Heat now leading Pacers 3-2.
Looks like it could be Heat vs Celtics in the East.

i havent followed much since M Jordan's retirement but ya i know some of them like Bird, McHale, Norm Nixon are in management or coaching.

I used to watch a bit of college basketball too and followed the careers of Jordan, Pat Ewing and John Salley.

McHale and Norm no more in management. Bird is doing well.
Pat Ewing was recently a coach, perhaps still is, John Salley has gone into acting. :D

Celtics and 76ers go to game 7.

game 7 will tire them out...their next opponents should benefit. You follow this real well eh? Even know what the older guys are doing.

Forgot to mention....used to like Admiral Robinson, Hakeem and Clyde the glide too. Not very fond of Charles Barkley.

Clyde has gone into broadcasting.
Charles "the round mound of rebound" Barkley is also in broadcasting.
He has a great show with Kenny Smith, also a former nba player.

Heat defeat the Pacers 4-2.
Now await the elderly Celtics or the young 76ers.

West Finals: Spurs vs Thunder

East Finals: Celtics vs Heat

Celtics just defeated the 76ers 4-3.

the West look stronger dont you think bro?

I think the nba champion will be the winner of the west final, which will be very close.
Celtics are ageing and short of numbers. Their backup point guard Avery Bradley just had surgery and is definitely out for the season.
The Heat without Bosh, are weak upfront. And I'm not convinced by LBJ's winning mentality.
The Spurs are ageing but they have lots on the bench and a great tactical coach.
The Thunder are simply all energy and skill.

Hope Thunder defeats Heat in the final, with Kevin Durant as MVP. :p

ya i do like the Thunder and KD.....prefer him to LBJ.

Spurs are good too but have won it already ...so let the Thunder have their day.
