Beating up is different from crushing up. Beating it up will make the blood flow and the meat tender and juicier just before the moment of slaughter. Crushing it to death under a heavy object like a vehicle will only leave it behind as a splatter of pulp. Surely you've seen roadkill carcasses of rats, cats, dogs etc. before.
