President Nathan sends condolences

SINGAPORE President S R Nathan yesterday sent a condolence message to Australian Governor-General Quentin Bryce, expressing his sympathies for the victims of the widespread flooding.

'The people of Queensland are facing a very severe test,' he wrote in his letter to Ms Bryce.

Earlier, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had spoken to Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and offered assistance.

Mr Nathan added: 'Our thoughts are with the Australian people during this difficult time. I am confident that the people of Queensland will overcome this disaster with fortitude.'

Nathan's an idiot. The majority of Australians are busy drinking beer and watching cricket. Only a handful are affected by the floods... 200,000 to be exact. That's 1% of the population.

The rest of the country are simply going about their daily lives.

Straits Times always like to exaggerate about the disasters of other nations.

Sinkapore politicians are top PR queen... Talk only!

He should say " I will give God a call later and demand him to off the tap"

And with LKY.. When he say open safe deposite box. I say okay..

So did LKY send a letter to Aussie PM and tell her that it is act of GOD, so live with it and no amount of engineers can solve their problems? Did nathan on the same note send condolences to orchard road shopkeepers when Yacoob screamed Freak in 50 years?

God Damned all these wayang PAP AND PUPPETS.

with his pay, he can afford to give them prata egg lah. but then ah neh is very stingy one. maybe only give prata kosong. :D

Murtabak fits the bill. The OZs would love the mutton.

Dumbfuck sinkieland should solve its own flood problems first.

Judging from your nonchalent attitude to human lives, even if 50% perished, you also wouldn't feel anything at all. :o

It will be better if Mr President send more beers over to Queensland. The XXXX beer factory there is closed temporarily. Even Fosters beer will be welcomed.

When there was flood at Orchard rd, not a single casualty, sinkie were calling for blood and resignation.:D:D Do the Auzzies do the same thing over there?

Prataman says "OUR thoughts" ...refer to all sinkies...

Anyhow... this prataman..

Prataman talk cock. Our thoughts are on the coming elections, rising property prices, rising electricity charges, influx of FT, etc. No offence to the Queenslanders.

Straits Times always like to exaggerate about the disasters of other nations.

It is being done so as to remind us how lucky we are to be in S'pore. The tragedy and sorrow of others is, unfortunately, borrowed to comfort us. Same for crimes all over the world. ST will exaggerate for the same objective stated.
