The recent case where the Straits Times deliberately misrepresented the facts about the Hougang BE hearing held by Justice Philip is the latest. If Yahoo had not reported accurately most of us would be none the wiser. I can't fathom how the staff and editors of SPH can sleep nights. It was completely slanted that many thought it was like a PTC for a criminal case.

Imagine the PM apologises during the last GE and this level of false reporting takes place. What was he apologising for?

I am also saddened by the fact that the AG did not step forward and clarify what had actually occurred. I wonder if Walter Woon would have allowed a gross misrepresentation of facts to carry on in this manner.

Yah leh. He say he untouchable wan what. Use foreign proxy some more. As far as I am concerned, everyone's identity here is known to the powers that be. So no big deal. Want to come, come. Point is shoot the messenger, does not mean the dam not cracking leh not coming leh. Listen to the messenger and fix the dam, everyone still can have a village. Shoot the messenger and pretend nothing happen, surviving villagers will not be happy, to say the least. Why not protect the village and see the village grow? Why must kill the golden goose who you need to attract people to come?

Yeah, he's got big fantasy ego and spews lie after lie. He attacks average Joe and gets away with it, then his ego grows and he attacks big shots and then even ministers, telling stories without basis and eveidence, spreading malicious rumours.

That's why I'm so curious as to why they let him go so easily after a bit of questioning. Maybe Shanmugam is forgiving, remember he made such a big fuss in the newspapers. Maybe there are other reasons, anybody knows?
