The translation is misleading it's not religion but some say " Way of life". But I would think it's a system of living.
There are no rituals in the, Quran. The rituals came about after the Arabs decided to create a religion. No syariah laws too in the, Quran. Syariah laws mimic what was practised by the jews, and Christian in that ancient period.
The only law I remember stipulated is an eye for an eye. But forgiveness, it's the most beneficial.
